Elk Creek Ranch is a private shared amenity ranch located near Meeker, Colorado along the White River that offers over 24,000 acres of private land access to only 67 members and owners. Owners receive a parcel of land to build their custom home, while having access to all of the leased and owned land that make up the Elk Creek Ranch community. In addition, members have access to year around facilities including restaurant, fly shop, horse facilities, main lodge, cabins and guest accommodations, winter sports, and more. The fishing and hunting resource owned and controlled by Elk Creek Ranch is unequaled and the commitment to habitat protection and conscientious stewardship is resolute.
Owners are buying home sites and building cabins at Elk Creek Ranch so that multi-generations can gather, spend time together, recreate together, and come away with lasting memories. Membership at Elk Creek Ranch requires ownership of one of the 67 home sites that comprise the Elk Creek Ranch Homeowners Association.
The members own the deeded acres of Elk Creek Ranch in common, and each member owns their individual home site fee simple. The Home Owners Association oversees management of the amenities and resource, and an annual member assessment covers theses costs.
The HOA also manages multiple fishing and hunting leases that cover thousands of acres of forest, river and wildlife filled hills.
Elk Creek Ranch is located in a bountiful region of northwest Colorado in Rio Blanco County. Nestled just 15 miles southeast of the town of Meeker, Elk Creek Ranch surrounds the White River adjacent to the Flat Tops Wilderness . The White River flows from near the top of Dunkley Pass and the Flat Tops West to Meeker. From Denver head west on I-70 for a 3 hour scenic drive to Rifle, where you head north to Meeker, the closest town with amenities to Elk Creek Ranch. From there head back east about 17 miles to the Elk Creek Ranch Village and Headquarters.
Steamboat Springs, Vail and Aspen are all within two hours of the ranch. Private airport access is available in Meeker and private or public air service is available at the Hayden/Steamboat Springs airport about 90 minutes from the ranch.
Membership to Elk Creek Ranch comes exclusively to landowners of one of the 67 limited private lots inside the ranch boundaries or one of the few select parcels outside of the ranch. Ownership of one of these properties includes the membership to the ranch and its facilities. Members receive the opportunity to access fully guided activities including fishing, hunting, horseback riding and more. After the initial real estate purchase, annual membership dues are assessed bi-annually and usually in the $35,000 range. Dues cover the expenses of ranch management, staff, guides, livestock, facility maintenance and other operations costs.

Owners at Elk Creek Ranch have access to nearly 25,000 acres of deeded land and surrounding public lands. Elk Creek Ranch and the surrounding White River National Forest and Flat Tops Wilderness area are a sanctuary for America's largest elk migration, plus home to wild turkey, grouse, mule deer, bear, mountain lion, moose and much more. Hunts through the ranch can be DIY on the ranch or (remove, no unguided hunts)with a professional guide, using UTVs and Pickups for access.
